The old minaret adjacent to St Nikolaos church is a perfect reminder of the way the East met the West in the town I made my home, Chania, Crete, Greece. The photographs I post all help to tell a part of a longer story that focuses on the town and its citizens, whether they are living there now, or have made their home in other parts of the world. As a newer resident, by writing about the town in this way, I am trying to put some order into the chaos that I seem to be confronted with.
I don't think that classroom looks so bad! Fun to see it and imagine!
ReplyDeleteI definitely attended junior high at a far worst enviroment than this...In fact, i think that this is...alright :-/
ReplyDeleteLet me guess, is this the "new school" where "...we will be moving to by next year" for the last 6 years at least?
Wishing all a good school year.
ReplyDeleteYou start on a Friday? Guess you need the weekend to recover.

ReplyDeleteHi Maria! Sorry for the long delay, but after one year work, I got my official week off and, as always, the week before was terrible and the return awful... ;). Furthermore, there was 09.09.09, which for me was a bit depressing, as I entered a Club 60 I would prefer to postpone the joining... ;))
ReplyDeleteI’ll try to find some more time in the coming week to enjoy your posts!! I would love to start again... ;))
Blogtrotter is now in Turkey. Enjoy and have a fabulous weekend!
My classroom looked worse, at least this one has lights. In ours we couldn't see much, we had to take notes in near darkness...
ReplyDeleteI see clean walls and clean solid furniture! That is a great start! I have taught in far worse!
