The last time we called in a plumber to unblock the bathroom sink, he fished out Barbie's shoes and a toy soldier. We paid him (the plumber, not the soldier) 50 euro.
Now bloody Spiderman's down there.
I'm waiting to see if he'll climb back up on his own.
Fifty Euros is no laughing matter but I have to laugh at your description. LOL
ReplyDeleteHaving just shared a bathroom with two little grandsons for 6 weeks, I am still in the habit of looking around the bathtub shower before entering, lest I step on a plastic dinosaur or dolphin or boat etc. etc.
I've always known that Barbie was the spawn of Satan - hope Spiderman does better by you.
ReplyDeleteNow if you'd watched the plumber last time you ought to be able to that yourself this time round! The plumber's bill sounds not too unreasonable for a standard call out charge but you don't want to be paying that out too often.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least it isn't the bath.
ReplyDeleteReminds of a story: A doctor had a blocked sink and called the plumber and said he had an urgent problem. "Put two Aspirins into the sink every sixth hour and call me tomorrow if it isn't better", was the answer.
ReplyDeletePS Thank you for the nice comments while I have been "away"!
Μάλλον θα πρέπει να ξαναδεις το θέμα αποθήκευσης των παιχνιδιών ;). Μήπως να γίνουμε όλοι υδραυλικοί;
ReplyDeleteSince leaving the island, we have all the comforts a creature could want.
ReplyDeleteSeems he won't :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe he'll revert back to "spider" status and just wash down the drain.
ReplyDeleteWe usually fish earings from the sink! You see we're three women in here...
ReplyDeleteBy the way...Happy Valentine Day!
lol!!
ReplyDeletegreat one!
It's nice to know that there are other people who live in fear of a visit from the plumber...I have a few plumbing memories from my son's childhood (and a few of my own) but I'll spare you the gruesome details. I hope Spidey decides to climb back up on his own. '~)
ReplyDeleteLet him drown MKiwi! :) - Dave
ReplyDeleteHas the spider returned? :)
ReplyDeletespiderman is still down there, protecting the sink from being clogged again. the water goes down, everything else stays up, so i think he's doing a very good job!
ReplyDeleteAh so! Then maybe I should try a Spiderman.
ReplyDeleteMy water runs down somewhere under the back yard and once in a while it just doesn't want to go down the drain. A superhero might help.
Being handy, it's driving me nuts that Spidey is still in the sink. Just to clarify, Spidey is hung up and can't come out? You might want to try a heat gun or blow dryer to soften him up, or even try using a shop-vac to vacuum it out...I'm on pins and needles 'til you get him out. I would suggest dismantling the sink fixtures but you don't sound too keen on that. Just know that it's prolly only plumbers putty that holds the drain in place in the bowl ( hint, hint).
ReplyDelete3 events and you have not sealed this escape route yet??? :-D :-D :-D
ReplyDeleteI guess clogs are equal-opportunity for both boys and girls!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, I know it really isn't funny, but I had a good laugh about Spider Man. :-)
