The old minaret adjacent to St Nikolaos church is a perfect reminder of the way the East met the West in the town I made my home, Chania, Crete, Greece.
The photographs I post all help to tell a part of a longer story that focuses on the town and its citizens, whether they are living there now, or have made their home in other parts of the world. As a newer resident, by writing about the town in this way, I am trying to put some order into the chaos that I seem to be confronted with.

Odd shots Monday: stone house
Remains of an old stone house, Daratsos village, Hania, Crete.
wonder what stories it holds!
ReplyDeleteI so love buildings that dare to be different! Thisone is definitely up there!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for telling me about the tree at your restaurant!
I hope that my beloved grandmother's house won't end like this...(She died last Easter in the age of 98):(
ReplyDeleteLovely stonework. I would have liked to see the house when people lived in it.
ReplyDeleteI am seeing:
ReplyDelete“A renovator’s delight!”
“Ideal first home”
Or
“Good for young family”
Wow. Your capture never cease to amaze me. Great shot as always.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day to you and your love ones.
