Nothing lasts forever - the solar powered water heater on our roof recently broke down - 1,100 euro later, we now have hot running water once again. My praises to the workmen who had to work under the hot sun all morning.
Once there was work to be done of the roof of the house, we got rid of those ugly rusty iron rods. Whenever it rained, the rust left marks on the paintwork.
Thanks for visiting....actually, we grow some of the largest cabbages, zuccini, pumpkins, etc. There are contests at the fair each year, and some people really get into it. This is only my second year with a garden or a lawn so I'm still in the trial and error stage. My greenhouse got running a bit late so I'm behind, but should have some night flowers in mid-July. I grow lots of tomatoes, but do so in the greenhouse. Same with my cucumbers. I'm hoping to do some learning this summer (and learn from some other gardeners in the area) so I can have a real kickin' garden next summer!

ReplyDeleteI hear cardinals, Carolina wrens, grackle babies wanting fed, and other nature sounds and the sky in the east is getting brighter and the air is cool and the doors are open and so are the windows. I am blessed on this Father's Day morning.
Oh, and i am glad you got the hot water heater fixed and took the rusty rods off the roof or where they were.
Ouch, that's big bucks. Guess needing that crane made it expensive, eh? Enjoy your new one and your now rustless walls.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great system. Here I need to switch on the electricity to heat the tank only maybe five times a year. So much sun.
