The old minaret adjacent to St Nikolaos church is a perfect reminder of the way the East met the West in the town I made my home, Chania, Crete, Greece. The photographs I post all help to tell a part of a longer story that focuses on the town and its citizens, whether they are living there now, or have made their home in other parts of the world. As a newer resident, by writing about the town in this way, I am trying to put some order into the chaos that I seem to be confronted with.

It does look like a good picnic to pack. (But whether it tastes good, I'll never know, sigh...) :) Does Husband always work evenings?

ReplyDeleteIt may not look like much, but I'll bet that it tastes like much!
ReplyDeletePS Thank you for the comment - you have my deepest sympathy with the current situation in Greece. I hope the colonels stay where they are supposed to stay.
I would happily eat this any day of the week.
ReplyDeleteThat said, a greasy souvlaki every once in a while is fine by me too!
Just one word, Yum!
